MLAO/Standards

Our standard is to produce research that is clear, correct, and trustworthy. Further, we restrict the scope of our work to non-normative research. That means that all of our work must be

  • clear
    • concise
    • easy to understand
    • presented in context
  • correct
    • accurate
    • representative of the whole truth (not cherry-picked to advance a particular view)
  • trustworthy
    • repeatable
    • supported by references, citations, and verifiable work
  • non-normative
    • an expression of fact or likely fact
    • free of personal values or preferences

If you believe that any item of our work fails to meet our standard, please report it by sending email to standards@mlao.org: be sure to include the document ID or URL of the item you are reporting and a brief description of how it is substandard.
